What can be said about the Original Chi-Lites that people don't already know about this classic group?  They have changed the way singing groups dress, dance and sing by creating their own brand and music. They accomplished something in those days that was very difficult to do which was to get a contract from a record company in the seventies. Just a handful of groups did, but none of them sounded or looked like them. The Chi-Lites were musicians as well as singers. With their customized white robes on and their vest-like tops and their colorful belt-like fronts, they made sure no one would mistake them for anyone else. The sound...oh my!...when those guys (and I'm talking about the Original Chi-Lites) started to sing, no one could sit down!
